Simply making one’s life better with a piece of land - Eight couples from Germany are taking on the challenge.

Turning a simple piece of land into a better life: reconnecting with nature, with other people, and with animals; living more responsibly, shaping tomorrow, and protecting the climate. Eight couples from North Rhine-Westphalia decide to take this step. Over the course of a year, we follow them as they pursue their shared dream. They leave old routines behind to start a new - striving for self-sufficiency, building small farms, and creating livelihoods rooted in sustainability. Along the way, they face unpredictable weather, financial pressure, and moments of real uncertainty. What drives them forward is determination, passion, and the belief that a different way of living is possible. This is the story of eight couples and their journey toward A Farm of Our Own.
