Energy of the Future: Hydrogen
Is hydrogen the energy of the future?
By 2050, 230 million households are to be supplied with green electricity from the North Sea - at least that's according to an ambitious agreement reached by Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands. In addition, green hydrogen is to be produced in the future on platforms in the North Sea, where gas and oil are still being extracted today. A complex energy transformation is also imminent in Namibia: There, a German company, together with the government, wants to install photovoltaics and wind turbines on a large scale. Namibia will benefit from green electricity by generating many jobs, and Germany and Europe could significantly reduce their gas consumption. A story that gives hope in a time with so many bad news.
