The Secret Routes for Migratory Birds
52' (ENG, FRA)
Migratory birds are in decline. Ornithologist Christian Moullec hatches and raises greylag geese, then flies beside them in his ultralight to create a “migration school.”
For thousands of years, France has been a crossroads for millions of migratory birds that pass through the country and stop there along their journey — heading south in autumn, north in spring. Yet in recent years, we have witnessed a decline in these great travelers. Have human activities altered their bearings? Are they finding it harder to adapt to a world that has changed so dramatically? Christian Moullec and his geese chart a new route across modern landscapes, hoping these birds will learn - and pass on - a way to survive in a changing world.
