The documentary follows canoeist Sophie Asselin and her team as they train and compete in this unique winter sport. North of Quebec City, vast wilderness takes over: the Taiga is home to caribou, wolves and Jean-Luc Kanapé, a Cree First Nation Wildlife Guardian, who fights to protect the dwindling herds. Further north, in the remote Inuit settlements of Nunavik, life continues without roads and under layers of snow.
