Claude Monet – In the Light of the Moment
Follow Claude Monet on his life journey through France!
“Get out of the studios and paint nature on site” was the credo of the impressionists. We take you on a journey with Claude Monet, their most famous representative. We travel from Paris, where Monet was occupied with the great boulevards and the Gare St Lazare, down the Seine, via the picturesque Argenteuil, to Vétheuil - a place of personal strokes of fate for the painter. From there we go on to Rouen, whose cathedral certainly owes its worldwide fame to Monet's paintings, and finally to Giverny, probably the most famous garden in the world, and at the same time the artist's last place of work. We reconstruct Monet’s life and work, talk to biographers, art historians and photographers, and never lose track of him.
